hehe GOOD question… and I can answer it! First of all, lose the yellow stuff. I can’t stand
mustard on much of anything!
Alright, the ONLY way to make a perfect burger is to add ketchup, mayo, onion
and a slice of tomato!
For dogs you need ketchup and onions. Good chili if it’s a chili dog… and
homemade red or green pepper relish is marvelous!

I’d put ketchup, mustard, onions and relish on both. I’ve also put jalapenos on burgers and sauerkraut on dogs.
I’m trying to avoid adding cheese and bacon to the burgers these days, but that is delicious.

*ahem*.
No ketchup on any of it. MAYBE on french fries, but I like ranch dressing better.
Gotta go with mustard, on doggies…and onions and relish…mustard under a chili dog.
Mayo and that’s it on a burger. Hubbers likes thousand island dressing as well.
And as to mustard, it’s got to be brown, or horseradish…I can’t stand that yellow muck.
C’mon people join the fray….I KNOW you all have preferences!!!

No ketchup?!!? Well that’s… that’s…. that’s just WRONG!
Something else I won’t use besides mustard on a burger is lettuce.
Spoils the whole taste for me.
And I like hamburgers, NOT cheeseburgers. I’m very particular when
it comes to my burgers!

I’d like to try some chunky blue cheese dressing on a hamburger. I’ve had blue cheese with steak and I liked it. On the other hand, I really don’t need to add fat to a burger I guess.
How about some horseradish on burgers?

No lettuce? No lettuce? Of course there must be lettuce; shredded, not leaf.
...and as for burgers! It’s cheeseburgers for me, my friend, and make that provolone cheese!!!!! ;b

Okay, deal then… when we have our first annual “FireCook’r User Barbecue”
I’ll scrape my shredded lettuce and provolone onto your BocaBurger and you
can scrape your ketchup onto my hamburger. That was easy.

Well now there’s one I haven’t heard of. But if you rely on ME to make that burger for you,
I’d use that wonderful green Japanese horseradish called wasabi that I like on my sushi.
How’s that, Taggart?

Deal, Katharina. I’m hoping though, that at our first annual “FireCook’r User Barbecue” we’ll be waited on hand and foot and our burgers are brought to us just the way we want. Champaigne in chilled crystal flutes as well….

I like the way you think! Okay, that sounds better. It can be BYOB so you can “bring your own Boca”, but
someone can cook them for us. And it can be held…. I nominate Hawaii. What a dreamer… I’d better
grab my morning coffee now!

I think you should use whatever suits your mood.
I’ve been known to put black olives and jalapenos on hot dogs!

I love black olives, and I think they could go really well on doggies. I’ll sneak them in the potato salad, to my family’s consternation. Or I’ll chop them up really small for egg salad, and devilled eggs. I’ve got a can in the fridge right now; I’m popping downstairs to have a couple….

Jalapenos on hot dogs sounds good! Is that the only condiment you use when you do that,
or is it in addition to other toppings?

I’d be up for that. And how about some sliced ginger while we’re at it?
I’ve put jalapenos on burgers before.
