A friend of mine makes Beer Can Chicken on the BBQ. I assume that you could also do a version of it over a fire.
He opens a can of beer and places it in the chicken. I think it remains upright, and the beer boils up and flavours the bird from the inside. I’m not sure about the technical details of the recipe, but I can tell you that it makes a great tasting chicken.
I think he may also have used it for turkey, too.
