Marinated skewered shrimp salty and sweet.

2 lbs of fresh jumbo shrimp cleaned and deshelled
1/4 cup kosher salt
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup Sherry any type
4 cups water
Take the salt, and brown sugar and boil for two minutes. Allow to cool add the sherry. Pour over the shrimp and refrigerate for 1/2 -1 hour.
Skewer the shrimp on soaked wooden skewers.
Cook over a hot grill till pink. Normally less than a full minute on each side of the skewer.
This is heavenly with sesame rice and a fresh tossed salad. White wine goes well this this
