Ma’s Buns & Pa’s Sausage

Ingredients

•½ cup butter softened
•½ teaspoon basil
•½ teaspoon oregano
•½ teaspoon lemon pepper
•2 garlic cloves, minced
•6 Italian style buns
•6 slices Monterey Jack
•6 Italian sausages grilled
•Marinara Sauce


Preparation Instructions

Heat up your grill to roughly 350*.  While grilling the sausage combine butter, basil, oregano, lemon pepper and garlic and blend well. Spread the inside of buns with the butter blend and place one slice of cheese in each. Wrap in aluminum foil and throw them on the grill for 15 – 20 minutes.
Unwrap the foil, throw a sausage in the bun and top with Marinara sauce.

I tried this a few nights back. Overall not bad. The key is not to over grill the sausage which I did. Hard to beat for a quick and easy recipe.
